Just got home from hospital... alone
He's hoping to sneak out the door tomorrow
They want him to stay at least till Wednesday and they also recon he should take 2 months to heal.
He's just barely coping with the foodand as for the coffee,
I've given him some pocket money to buy some good stuff from the cafe![]()

I went in & dropped off some brownie & old motorcycle mags to the poor old fella today.
He was looking not too bad sitting up in bed although moving caused him quite a bit of discomfort. Obviously Ali & I made the most of this by tickling him until he cried - then we slapped him around for being a crybaby.
For those interested in what happened - he was riding along the Molesworth after Isolated Flat & went around a left hand corner with a bank on the RHS.
Next thing he woke up with birdes whistling around his head not knowing what happened. His front tyre was flat so unsure if that was the cause or effect. A guy stopped to help & called the ranger. After Jatz passed out getting into the rangers ute a chopper was called as they wanted a specialist paramedic there.
Chopper ride & cut off trousers (oooowwww commando are we sir?) xrays & cat scans, he sits in bed with a broken piece of hip, deep bruising around the shoulders, ribs, back etc. they aren't gonna put him in a cast or anything.
He's a hard man who seems to think he will be riding with Eddie (Mwahahahaha) soon. He actually wanted to ride out if some of the helpers would change his front tyre for him
I passed on your guyses regards. As the Jatz's are people of few words i thought i'd pass on the main details & he can fill youse in with the other stuff.
Bike is still in Molesworth at the Homestead ready for the first people to submit a tender for it's release & pay the hefty fines he incurred along the way.
In life as in dance Grace glides on blistered feet
Urm...thanks for that Padders![]()
Could you Nads or A please pass on my best wishes too.

Ok., I am free Thursday to pick up the bike, will check tomorrow if I have a trailer available, but shouldn't be a problem either way.
Where is the bike, e.g. is it easier to get in Blenheim end or hamner end?
Does anyone want to keep me company/help lift the bike on the trailer etc? happy to go alone so not compulsory.
And, someone has to ask,.... how is the bike?
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
Just read this. Bummer. Speedy recovery buddy. Thinking of ya. T & D.
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!![]()
Jatz is allowed home today![]()
