....may I politely suggest some rider training (I don't mean to be rude or offensive...Im just a weee bit worried about your current survival rate with said bike and current skill set)

Not corners just tight twisties and being a cautious rider was not dangerous, but all good aft reminder and not sure why I stopped counter steering in the first place. Will b doing rider courses as always learning, my reason for posting as if I Had forgotten something so fundamental how many others had. From comments n rep it would seem I am not the only one

No. You didn't. Can't go round corners if you don't countersteer. What you may have forgotten was to be more assertive in your push/pull on the bars. Meaning your cornering got lazy, and not able to respond quick enough to tighter and/or close-linked corners.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Very much horses for courses. I did it about '72 on my Yamaha RT360 & loved it. Did it again in recent years on the VFR and didn't like it.
Didn't like all the rubber necking 4WD drivers either. They were conspicuous by their absence first time around - hadn't been invented yet...

It runs between Brown Owl (Upper Hutt) and Waikanae. Street view works in there, too. But only so far in from each end...
Maybe a quarter of the road is single lane, with many corners blind.
I always have trouble trying to link Google Maps in here...so just do it yourself.

Actually no John I was literally steering the bike around the tight twisties but using counter steering on the open roads hence the cringe creeping in. like I said some thing so fundamental and yet I basically stopped riding "the corners" and it was not until dogs asked the question that I realised it
