Fuck me. I loved this movie when I first saw it, and watching it again was like taking a big gob full of drugs - you get nervous as hell about how it's going to make you feel, but you're pretty sure it'll be intense.

I'm not even going to review it because I can't. But if you want a heavy but awesome movie then check this out if you haven't already.

8.5 on the IMDB scale (Top # 65 movie).

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/

    Do it.
Requiem.. I'd forgot about this movie, desturbes the crap out of me every time.

Less of a movie, more like a car wreck - you know you really don't want to see whats going on but you can't help watching the rest.

Last time I watched it a couple years ago a friend of mine put it on thinking it was something else, the look on his *rather innocent* girlfriends face in some of the more intense parts was priceless - definatly worth subjecting myself to that movie again.

Oh Man I was gonna recommend "Darjeeling Express" as a good indy movie however compared to the previous movies reviewed it will seem pretty blue rinse set.

New "Thing" prequels the previous (John Carpenter) movie, so it ties together rather well.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

    Last years one?

I didn't really understand it, started out like some slow as romantic thingy, then ended up with some face stomping and shotgun facing, but also still really slow. I'd give it about a 4/10

I'm with Pete: I thought DRIVE was one of the best films I saw all last year. I really liked Carey Mulligan in it, too: she was excellent.

They got the mood (very noir-ish) of a lot of the 70's films I love absolutely right: DRIVE is a future classic I think.

Fair enough, figure it was a common name and I might have missed out on another good one!

I just got bored with all the slow close up scenes of Ryan Gosling, almost as bad as 'tinker tailor soldier spy' with the 2 minute "eat a mint" scene, would give the later about a 1/10.

    Kite Runner

Gives slight different perspective of Afghanistan. Decent character build however feels slightly thinnish towards end. Decent movie.

    7.5/10

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
