Prefer prior weekend participation with possible pecipitation postonement to post preffered weekend.
Like you say we gotta do it before the snail killers shut the road down for good.

I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
28-29th preferred here.
I'm taking this personally you bastards...organising a decent ride when i cant go
You do realise daylight savings will be finished, it'll probly rain heaps and you'll all get heaps of punctures
But seriously... There's not a lot around "Nelson creek" except Lake Hotchstetter, a local will be along soon to tell me there's heapsor did you mean Napoleons hill. I have the contact details if you want them.
Sounds like a good ride![]()
Heading into Hira in 20mins or so.
No gorse to be involved at all
Logs and branches?![]()
If you turn back towards Lake Moana at the Stillwater turn off you can then turn up maori Gully road and wind your way through forest roads until you come out near Dunganville then head towards the Shantytown road and then turn up the Noname road, then possibly look at Cockeye Creek. If Cockeye creek gets too hard then turn back and follow until you get to cape Terrace Road which will bring you out just near Kumara, then 15 minutes back to Greymouth which the aforementioned roads bypassed.
I think
There are some big signs near Maori Gully road, but dunno what they say cos they are written in an ancient WestCoast dialect (dialogue).

"Can you drive ?"...Ummm noMrs J took me out for lunch today to try and break the cabin fever, I'm paying for it now
wish I'd taken my pain killers.
We only did Big river and I think it was called Green hut on the way back out. Nordie will probly have a GPS track of it, aswell as Mt Greenland down in Ross.
It sounds like Woodman knows his way around down there though, so you'll be in safe hands...Bwaaahahahaha![]()
A good ride in Hira. Dropped down into the Gun Club Valley from the east which was a little easier than dropping down from Mt Everest. Less rocks.
2:30 later, back home. Just finished having a shower and Padmei turned up...
We went up to the Teal Lookout over the dam. I "almost" made it up the climb to the east. "Almost" being about 75cm short...
Oh and Padmei fell off.
Don't you hate it when you drop off the side of the road and it's only about a 1m drop. With a wheel shaped hole. The front stops. The back stops (phew). Then you tip to the left...

Sounds easy enough...
