An Aussie guy mentioned ANZAC day on a Norton site the other day and was given a lecture by some French/German/Belgian bloke about war....bit over the top when all he said was " have a nice Norton ride on Anzac day.."
But on the subject of Commandos they know a lot and don't mind sharing.

I'll just be here to add to the stupidity.

I noticed today that both of my motorcycles have skinnier tyres at the front.

I am constantly amazed by the volume of stupid questions on some of the forums i frequent.
Most of these questions can be answered by looking at your bike, the owners manual or by having a bit of a think about it before posting.
For example- "should I drain my fuel tank or fill it up before I store my bike for a week!"
"The manual says to use 87 octane gas, what octane gas should I be using?"
" The tank is supposed to hold 4.2 gallons but I can only ever put 3 gallons in it. What is going on?"
" I have bought the just released new model of a not very popular bike, why isn't there any aftermarket parts available"

I found it amusing at first now I just get fucked off with it.
    What say you?
Dont mean to burst your bubble here fella but if you think the yanks are bad you havent devoted much to reading the shite posted on here. Many wouldnt know the arse end of a motorcycle from the front let alone the inner workings of one and sincerely believe included in the purchase price is a god given right to post shit about there ability to ride the fucking thing.

To be honest I would have thought the word Commando would have been frowned on by some of those people.

This site has been going for over 10 years. Most questions have probably been asked before. There's a search window in the top righthand corner. Use that before going off like a lame dickhead and asking one of these questions for the gazillionth time. American forums are little different to ours.

The bike servicing one is worth repeating, as bike shops come and go (in location and quality) quicker than skidmarks posts to PD.

The 'merikan sites I visit seem to be totally devoid of humour, unlike this outfit here. KB is always good for a laugh. Some of the yank stuff takes itself so very seriously - kinda "we don't do this for fun y'know!"

I cut off all my tread on my tyres like that fastest indian dude to make them lighter and only ride in t shirt and shorts because leathers are so heavy.

    Im so clever.

Mind you i dont see the problem with people with no experience asking seeming stupid questions. Although people who should know better but ask dumb questions are fair game.
