    Driving just any old car is an A to B situation, but spiritedly driving my classic sports car when I'm "in the zone" is every bit the visceral experience of riding.

    Riding any bike is never quite a meaningless A to B thing though.

    True (not a classic sports car but I had a great weekend driving a hired Corvette C5 in LA for a weekend once)
