    Hello XR1200.
My bike is slow (won't do 200kph) gutless (65hp at rear wheel) and from time to time scrapes when cornering.

But is smooth handling/riding, stops real well, has no real vices, is cheap on gas (nearly 60mph on a good day) and can carry a heap of gear.

Parts are readily available (when needed) and not too costly, it is 'user friendly' for the home machanic.

So, to use that dreadful cliche: it 'ticks all the boxes' for me.

You wring your right wrist in - you wring your right wrist out.
You pull your bike over and get your wallet out.
You give the cop your licence and he shakes it all about.
Dooooo the sportsbike hokey, that's what the fine's about.

Mate as I keep repeating, GUTLESS??? a bloody Z1 was ONLY 84bhp at the CRANK..... a bonneville was 'only' 59bhp..... its only the 'wannabe's' that have 'forced' the race for 200bhp and 300kph+....

All of which are slow by now days standards. Not that it matters.
Went out on my 600 today, by God it's incredibly uncomfortable and needs your attention to ride.
Maybe it needs some seat foam? Sitting on fiberglass in the foetal position is a bit much.
