Thinking outside of the box? If you cant beat the machine shen simply side step it!

This is not how i would like to see things done but in this world you do what you have to for the greater good.

If this Idea works i might add there is no reason why this same level of tolerance cant be applied to every race, not by banning lapping slow riders but by perhaps giving a little more consideration to slow riders you are lapping (if you are that fast of course).

Yes and while you are at it why not give trophys and lollypops to all that enter too.

I have spoken (2nd hand) to Tony and the wording there is NOT what is intended.

The INTENT is to keep VERY slow (60-80kph max speed?) bikes out and riders who have not got a reasonable amount of skill. This is not a learner event is the meaning.

It's very badly worded is not intended to disqualify any average rider. Anyone from Wellington should have no issues with being able to race.

Now look... having been to a bears meet today and spoken to wallace the bmrc pres yes they want extra slow people out BUT FFS he has worded the rules n regs concerning the BOB like he has cos he does not want confrontation at the track on the day.

ALL travelers will race ok, now I would have simply said that the right to refuse admition to the BOB is the organisers /stewards final word in stead off all this shit and enuendo.

as for skunk... thank you and people take note

Yes so once all the emotional responses have petered down, lets just say there were some badly chosen words.

Of course they won't exclude people who haven't done 3 races this year (heck that would be me out & I came 4th last year).

The intention is not to be exclusionary, just to have a sensible approach to safety that gives them the right to say "C'mon, you haven't learnt to change gear yet" or your bike will barely touch 60kph.

I spoke to Tony Mac the wgtn guys will be just fine & they definitely want us to come down so please don't be put off.

. .. although we may have to slip them a $20 to exclude Drew once he's down there, -just to see what would happen. 10 min should be long enough to tell him it was a joke.

So that sorted, lets make some plans!!

The riders must have attended at least 3 race meeting this year.

I'll certify I've seen Kick and dangerous at at least 3 meetings this year....I assume neither of you want to ride at Greymouth for which of course you will have to have competed at 3 meetings.

I will be at Hampton downs that weekend, the rules don't state the meeting have to be done in the same calendar year anyway

I'm not gonna be able to ride anyway, so it wouldn't be an issue.

Yes, as covered above, the wording is in there to exclude a newbie who turns up and wants to race for the first time. Why the current president didnt just write something to the effect that the organisers have final say regarding competing, I'm not too sure.

I think it's time that BRMC had a new leader and hopefully after the BoB a new committee can be formed to help get the club back to where it was. And yes, I am prepared to take over the President role!

We are coming down, but not bringing the bike. Deal with it.
