The only advantage i can see to that is when your half hanging off the wrong side of a bike trying to push it up that last part of a gut buster hill climb other the that id say it would be a pain. I do tend to drag the rear brake a lot through turns and down hill sections and a lot of the time that clutch is still semi or fully engaged.

Ask TrialsRider what he thinks of it.

Looks like single fingering is braking and the other fingers bring the clutch in to play.

Ok time to enter, I am the Dude that will be distributing them for Clake in NZ, I really would prefer if you read the whole page you were looking at and put the right information on the web for me but since you seem to have only got to the start line let me help you out.

The kit in question is the FULL SPEC kit at the bottom, it sells for $1180.00 AUD Excluding GST, they cost around $60.00 AUD to get to NZ, OK that makes them $1240.00 AUD - now convert that to NZD div 0.77 = $1610.00 + GST = $1851.00 Incl GST, not quite sure where you get a 1000 one each one from but it is a bad guess.

OK that dealt with I would like you other knockers to sit up and take note too, go and read (the whole page) http://www.clake.com.au/clake%20advantages.html , in NZ we seem to have a culture of "I know it wont work because I have never tried it" which smacks of DUMB ASS, I am sure if you really want that label keep posting rubbish and you will earn it.

OK that dealt with the Clake its a brilliant piece of kit, Owen who manufactures them is a extremely clever engineer, the system doesnt jam the brake as suggested, the first stage of the lever pull disengages the clutch only, as the clutch disengages the brake is applied the further you pull the lever in, the bias lever allows you to flick the lever to bypass the brake if you stall on a hill and want to turn around. All this can be totally personalised by swapping cams to get your perfect settings.

About the cost, you can spend $4K rebuilding your four stroke, will you get that back, NO. You will also over the life of the bike spend 2k - 3k in tyres, chains, sprockets, you wont get that back either

Buying the Clake is a one off investment, you can then take it of your bike when you sell it and put it on your next bike.

Anybody wanting to try the Clake out will be welcome to take my bike Gas Gas EC300 2011 for a ride including you knockers that know it wont work, I would love you to prove me wrong!!!
    Cheers Paul

    brake

That still don't mean I want to spend $1800 on a clutch and brake system when there ain't anything wrong with the one I got.
I would spend 4k on a 4t and be able to ride, I brought your product I would have just over half to fix the bike....... suppose I could look at my $1800 brake I brought while its sitting in the shed

    Hi Nordie

I like the rekluse clutch too, this system still works fine with Rekluse clutches, having said that talk to Josh ADVGD, he only got 7K out of his Rekluse which is disappointing, it was a mechanical failure of the Rekluse balls in the track wedging

Deb has just told me if you make any more comments like that she will make you eat green veges next time you stay.

Josh would only get 7k out of a brand new oem clutch. I've ridden with him remember

Greens are fine in curries and stir frys.

Eat them voluntarily and they stunt your growth though
