Introduce people to anything and its bound to end up all f#cked up. religion is no different. People use it as an excuse to pass off many things that the religion would not actually endorse. Like I said, I am a christian in that i follow the teachings of Jesus. Jesus never told his followers to become dicks judging everyone around them and forcing their beliefs on everyone. I believe his greatest commandment was to love those around us...not judge them and act like self righteous cocks. I am far from perfect and don't deserve Gods grace in the slightest...good thing its given, not earned. The thing that really gets me is how closed minded some Christians seem to be...there is a whole world out there and sometimes, just sometimes you're wrong with what you think you know.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Im going to dip my toe in these waters I don't follow any religion personally and have no issue with it in and of itself. However,
ORGANIZED religion fucks me right off.

Religion? At the root of every war is not religion (that's just another excuse, besides nationalism, politics, racial, economic, etc.).

    It is SEX...

Waaaay back when we were living in caves and in the bush, the men would look at their women and think, "Hmmmm, you know, the women in the next valley look so much better. No moustaches, no fat calves, no steel wire hair, etc. We should go raid their village, kill off their men and grab all their women. Yeah, we'll be happy then!"

Think about it: WWII - Why did the Germans invade France? 'Cos the French women were so much better looking, romantic and dainty! Scores of Allied soldiers 'fraternised' (or bonked, shagged, screwed, call it what you will) with the German, Japanese and Italian women, even marrying a bunch of them and bringing them back to their countries. That influx of fresh better-looking genes helped produce off-spring that had advantages in their new countries. Look at those of Italian origin - Nigella Lawson, for example.

I'm not saying it's the women's fault - far from it. If we men could only be content with the women in our own 'village', there'd be no wars today. Why else would there be porn today? So you can stare at and fantasise about somebody else's woman, right? (She sure ain't yours!)

Oil, you say? Yes, that is one exception, 'cos would you want those bushy eye-browed hairy-armed Iraqi women looking like a walking black tent? And if not for Islam, I think the Yanks would be all over the few good-looking Iraqi women, marrying some and bringing them back to the US.

Actually, if not for the excuse of religion tied to racial prejudice, if we were all open-minded and peace-loving, we'd all be beige - no pelangi, no blacks, no brown, no yellow,...

Thought for the day: Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything but they're funny when they're pushed down the stairs. Also: Who picks up guide dog shit?
