"Mix and Match" is the design philosophy for Moto Guzzi R & D......
    Even the MGS-01 has a Daytona-based engine and a V11 6-speed gearbox.....

That's what I love about them. They don't often know if it will work okay or not,..they just hope for the best !!!

Yup its the standard guzzi rule...If it aint broke...don't try to fix it!

MGS-01 ...soooo want one! (My lotto bike!...I don't care how much it would cost to get road legal...I'd do it!)

Take care mate (great to hear big red is all fixed)

look forward to seeing ya...I will have my tools at the ready

...speaking of which(and seeing as your doing some work on your beauty), did you take my advice in regards using "Dielectric grease" on all your electrical connections & joints etc?...its the best thing I ever did to ol "Phat Girl", 3 heavy southern winters and she didn't miss a beat! (Used to have the usual guzzi sparky problems...dash etc doing "odd" things in heavy rain )

Give it a try ...you may be amazed at the results (time consuming job getting every plug, bulb and joint etc...but really worth it!)

    Take care mate

    And Paul...POST SOME PICS!!!
