And it obviously does...else you wouldn't keep mentioning Rossi's nine titles, which has nothing at all to do with Stoner handing his arse to him on a plate does it now?

I understand now why the Rossi fans are generally Stoner haters. The Stoner haters also moan about Stoner as much as Stoner himself moans. Funny really.
You're the guy that keeps saying that Stoner beats Rossi head to head. I'm merely pointing out that Sheene beat Ago head to head, but that don't change history.

I never said that Rossi was the GOAT. I said he was one of the greatest (actually I may have only inferred that by saying Capirossi wasn't). I only mentioned the nine titles in response to your head to head comment. Anyway - I don't hate Stoner. Actually there's very few people that I actually HATE. Hating takes a lot of energy and I wouldn't be wasting energy on Stoner.

What does make me laugh is the heat generated on behalf of Stoner (& Rossi to be fair). We live in an age of freakish talent that hasn't been seen since Lawson, Rainey, Schwantz, Gardiner and Doohan raced together. I love it.

The tyres are a result of the riders being asked which ones they wanted. Not surprisingly, there were only two votes against the new ones.

The comment I was refering to was Stoner whining about the change from 990 to 800. He blamed the organisers, when it was actually Honda who rammed that through.

Me too. Love winding people up as well. Love him or hate him (dislike then)...Stoner will be a big loss to the sport I reckon. If Rossi doesn't get his groove back (I personally think he will), and MM doesn't step up to the plate...gonna get REAL boring watching Lorenzo win everything in sight. Cause man...that fucker is FAST!

An interesting thing about the tyres on the Hondas. The testers and the sat teams all think they're ok.. But as Stoner and Pedro both say...wait till you do the same lap times we're doing! It's always struck me as a bit odd. The factories using their own 'test riders' that can't duplicate the sort of times the racers do. Things that work well at 2 mins 15 secs may not at 2 mins 14.

And let's be honest Oscar...who the hell WAS happy about going to 800cc.

Believe it or not...I really couldn't give a shit about anything other than awesome action. Tis why I love watching Stoner as much as I do. But once he's gone...I don't care other than missing his action. Don't know the guy, never met him, never will, couldn't care less! Would quite like to meet his Mrs though.

Problem is - it was supposed to slow 'em down, but just increased the corner speed.
Now how they gonna do it?
    Tank size?

Interesting thing is...looks like the thous are going round the corners faster again than the 800's!

And I don't think we should slow them down.

That's pertinent. I was just reading about an endurance racing team who tested prototypes for Michelin and invited a journo to participate. He thought the tires he was on were horrible until at the end of his laps he managed to get closer to the racers times, at that point they became amazing. So I guess the opposite can be true.
