Slippery tarmac. Keeps the lean angle that much more in the safe zone.

Yeah I had a wee laugh at one of the captions to a picture on Superbike planet. They were saying "See how far Stoner is hanging off...so much for no grip" or summat like that.

Duh...that's why he's hanging off the thing so far.

Doesn't look like a nice surface to race on at all. Still..it is the same for them all (the riders) without doubt.

There was a shot of Bautista in qualifying at the corner where they all highsided - almost at full lean, but savagely crossed up...'kin awesome.

A question for cmoore. If Stoner is a wanker for inferring his team are shit and can't get the Honda sorted for right hand corners...what does this make Rossi?

The problem was not all down to Rossi, however. Indianapolis is a bad track for Ducati, the bike always suffering at left-handed tracks. "When the track goes left, I have a lot more problems," Rossi said, "I don't feel confident on the left." His only consolation was that he did not crash while pushing, the mistake he had made at Laguna. The Honda and the Ducati appear to be mirror images of one another, the RC213V loving left-handed tracks, losing the chatter which plagues the bike when the corners go right, while the Desmosedici has no feel when the track goes left.

    What says you to this?

If I may speculate some... not really what I like to do, but fuckit — everyone else is (on other sites), and it can be entertaining (if only for a moment).

I think Rossi really does not like that bike. In fact, I think he is so wary of it, he is just plain weary of it (and can't be fucked crashing it trying to over ride it). It also wouldn't surprise me if Ducati have surreptitiously been trying to make contact with the one and only Casey Stoner to make him a ludicrously profitable offer to return in 2013 or 2014, or even to just do a few tests for them next year while he's retired on sabbatical. (Does anyone really think he'll hang up his leathers for good? I don't.) Silly Season news of Cal or Andrea signing the dotted line has dried up of late and, from the past few months’ history, that has tended to mean they're talking to someone else. Hmmm...

Fun and games while there are no races or practices on. Thankfully, Brno and Moscow are only a couple of days away...

I reckon Stoner would tell them to go fuck themselves. He too will be over trying to over ride the thing and throwing himself down the road. Especially after Indy. And after throwing Stones at Rossi for going back to Yamaha...he'd look pretty Stooopid for doing the same now wouldn't he. Good thoughts though!

As much as I'd love to see him come back...I reckon only 500cc two strokes would make him.

And whoever it was who told Spies (Quite unecessarily too) not to go to Laguna if he didn't give 100% would have got a withering glare, at least.

It was the same engine he crashed in qual on. Same thing happened to Lorenzo in Germany either last year or year before.
