Side note: James Ellison pulled out a flyer in this race.

    James ELLISON - GBR - Paul Bird Motorsport - ART - 1'40.831 - 24 of 27 - +1.743

Lap time within 1.75s of the best lap time of the day, which happened to be a new circut record by Dani.

Though the more I look at it, the more it looks like a complete fluke, or possibly a timing mistake since that is the only lap he had in the 1'40 s. In fact, its the only lap he had under 1'42.6 so it must be some kind of a mistake.

Which means that Aleix Espargaro had the fastest CRT laptime.
    Aleix ESPARGARO - SPA - Power Electronics Aspar - ART - 1'41.133 - 6 of 28 - +2.045

Thats more in line with what they have been doing.

Oh shit, I've posted stuff about CRT, I wonder if Crasher is going to yell at me again?

lol. No. Because I did my time in a large automotive workshop...foul language was the norm. I've always quite liked it anyway. So simply because I use nasty words, don't think I'm abusing people. Anyone that's met me in real life will tell you that's how I am anyway. Computers have a way of hiding how things are actually said and meant to mean.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't stick your CRT bikes up your arse.

    Snip

We had a problem at Assen with the tire, which wasn’t our fault, and also at Silverstone. But Qatar, here and Laguna, we’ve had three mechanical problems with the bike. I wouldn’t say its Yamaha’s fault at all, it’s been bad luck too. Why it’s happening to me, I don’t know. It was a big frustration about a month ago, but now we go to Brno, and I wonder what’s going to happen next.”

That tyre ok but the swing arm , that should have been marked and junked ( if it had been involved in a crash) , engine ,,,should have been used for qualifying not a race ....are they short of engines ?

oh and problems at 2 circuits with tyres ??? One does wonder why ???? oh and the suspension failure was a tolerance problem ( yeah right, you telling me that some tit designed it 1;1 FOS , idiot , or there was a stress raiser , , or it didnt fit. big hammer????)

Agreed. And I think so. Poor old Lorenzo may well run out of 'em too after he lost one when Bautista took him out.

Stink rule that one. I'd hate to see Lorenzo have to start races from pit lane. That'd be way unfair.

I reckon if Lorenzo loses the championship because he had to start from pit lane that rule will be reviewed. It certainly should be. Changed to crash damage when caused by another rider. So if you tip over and stick it in the sand pit and lose an engine that's your tough luck, but if you go down as part of someone else's accident and lose an engine you get a new one.

I thought you were a bike mechanic ? Where did you serve your time ? I did mine at Shelly's but only lasted 7 yrs in the trade. Joined the biggest gang in NZ in 1973.
Loved the education I got leaving school though.

Yeah that'd be a much better idea, although the whole limiting of the number of engines sucks full stop. It's supposed to cut costs, but think you'll find it doesn't.

Nope. A grease Monkey on cars and light diesels. Did my time for Avis Rental Cars, when they had their own workshops on College St. Was actually a really fun time. 8 mechanics running cars out to the airport etc...races? Never.

Saw a lot of funny things in my time there that's for sure.

I don't like rules that limit the number of engines/tyres or anything else, but without them things can get very silly. An engine for practices, and engine for qualifying and one for the race etc is not sustainable and doesn't attract the small guys that fill up the grid.
