What tyres for a Bandit 1200?

Me Bandit is getting through her tyres so will need a new set soon. Been thinking about PR3s but have heard a Bandit can be rough on them. I do ride twisties a lot so give them a hard time.

Ive got Avon Ultra 2s on of unknown age but ive done 6k on them. Fronts wearing badly on the right side.

PR3s seem to be a premium price so what else will work on me old oil boiler.

Michelin Pilot Powers 2ct
Reasonable price, and pretty sticky.

PR2 or Metzeler Z8. I've done 20,000km on a rear PR2 and 26,000km on a front PR2. All commuting tho.

The PR3 isn't the best bet for heavier bikes given that the carcass is so soft. Their performance is unquestionable.

Re Avon, look up posts from KoroJ. Can't remember which model he had, but he had no end of grief...

Twisties usually wear evenly over the entire surface of the tyre. And it is usual for one side of the front tyre to wear more than the other side.

Shinkos, no I'm not kidding. Apex 010 is a very good tyre for grip and sensational feedback.

I believe I'll be putting them on for the summer.
