Diverting briefly to the subject of tonight's GP, keep an ear out for the number of times that sad commentary duo mention "the lowest part of the circuit"...

Listen, you could at the very least have the courtesy of remaining consistent for a few more posts when I've gone to the bother of agreeing with you. Drop me in it would you?

Watching Stoner muscle that Duke or Honda round is such a sheer bloody pleasure to watch. Pedro, Horhay, Rossi et al are fast-as, but so smooth they hardly look like they're moving. Here comes El Stoner, sliding in, opposite lock on, powerslide out leaving a strong smell of gunpowder and tyre smoke. Feckin' bewdy.

For the record, I din't sell the other chap a bike. We've since met face to face, and shook hands. He's ok.

Can't see Shaun and I shaking hands. I despise narks.

Tech 3 must have had one hell of a binding contract with Smith to sign a two year deal with him. I can't think of any other legitimate reason to put him on such a competitive bike, given his background. A CRT I could maybe - MAYBE - fathom, but the Monster Yamaha has to be the best bike out there in the premier class after the factory efforts from Honda and Yamaha.

I mean, he's not even as successful as Abraham was when he made the (premature) jump to the GP, and look how well that's gone. I mean no disrespect to Smith, as he obviously has heart, and more talent than many in his current field, but it seems all too obvious that he will be taking up space over the next couple of years.

With talent like Luthi, Iannone, Espargaro, and a host of others who haven't signed a GP deal yet, it's nothing short of wasteful. Even the passport argument doesn't work. Two British riders? What the hell?

Unrelated, Salom has to be my favourite racer among the classes these days, he's a class act. To quote his post race interview: "I got sleepy and was passed by Folger and I said, 'What the fuck?'"

    Legend.

Tech3 know the chassis he's on has had zero development through the year as there's only 2 of them in the field. It's the same situation as the Bimoto, Moriwaki, FTR and a couple of others. The Suter and Kalex have had the most updates so they attract the most teams and riders, which gives them more feedback for updates and they get progressively better through the year.

Considering where the other non-Suter/non-Kalex chassis's are in the field he's well ahead.

I'm not a Bradley Smith fan but there's more to the situation than you think.
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem

I hadn't thought of it this way, I will have to pay close attention to the constructor standings post-race.

Do you think though, that if that's the case, that qualifies him for the Monster?

The only thing I can think of is - he's bringing a few GBPs with him?
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
