I actually beg to differ. I've been watching old races here at work on our tellys...and I saw nearly all of them at the time too. Sure there's the odd humdinger of a race with multiple lead changes...but they're the rarity rather than the norm trust me. Nothing much has changed.
Best racing.... Hmm lets see. My pic would be any battle between Rainey and Schwantz in the two smoker era. Those two could battle it out till cows came home. 92 or 93 at Assen, where after multiple lead changes Schwantz pulled the last chicane trick on Rainey and shut the door behind.
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

Oh yeah, he is definately way better then he has shown this year. Maybe he would be better suited (with his SBK background) to the point and shoot Honda rather than the GP style Yamaha? So therefore the Gresini Honda ride might be a pretty sweet deal for him to take next year. And a one year contract there might set him up sweet to go to Suzuki in 2014, if they get their shit together.
I also think he was right when he said that if he got out of MotoGP now, it would be unlikely that he would get back in later down the track. At least not on a factory team. Play his cards right though, ride a Honda next year and he may be able to work it out as the lead rider for Suzuki when/if they come back. If they don't, worry about that then.

Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
Goes to show how many things these guys need to get going for them — the right headspace, bike, set-up, crew, team dynamics, etc.

Because anyone that's won a race and put it on the box deserves to be there far more than some cunt running around making up the numbers. I mean fuck...bet you think Colin Edwards deserves to be there? And hey...I love the guy. I think he's funny as fuck. But he's not to this day won a GP.
