You'll know what I mean when you see those two laricans ride. No one looks as out of shape as Andy when he's in a mood for showing off.

If the swinger is still when the back steps out then what I was describing is not down to them.

Might have been a bit soft on the chair wheel come to think of it, I don't know if anyone did a pressure check before we went out.

You ride completely opposite what every other rider told me to do it. "It's getting out of shape. Yeeehaaaaaaa, twist bitch...TWIST"! No noe else does that, they all swear it needs finesse. The blue pile of shit we rode responded to a brute force attack suck as you ride, but the Windle didn't like it. When the rear stepped out on a right hander, feeding it the message made it sorta bounce the drive wheel. Instead I had to kind of stay with a neutral throttle till it came back in line.

Mind you, I had two days riding experience, and Jimmy had none. So I am probably just guilty of being a noob without a clue.
Its the only way Scrivy knows. I saw a u tube clip on how to swing, I think kick posted it a while back. It described ONE way of swinging for ONE style of riding.
Swinging for scrivy dosent involve any bullshit steering & balancing the outfit, he does all the steering himself with throttle & brute force, he dosent let you steer, because if you tried that shit, he would sit you on your arse quick smart.
All swinging for scrivy involves, is NOT FALLING OFF, to the point where toes are tucked under & you asshole is sucking the vinyl off the deck.
Conversely, scriv looks at a picture on our passage wall of Tracey at Eastern Creek, up on two wheels until the faring is dragging on the R/H side, on full opposite lock & shakes his head in disbelief at how "she just got away with that one" (lap after lap after lap)
Finesse & balance meets brute force & ignorance.

OK, so I'm interested in having a go at the whole swinger thing. Sure as hell looks like it would be fun, so long as I can hang on. Anyways, is anyone doing some testing or something or other at Taupo, Puke, or HD anytime soon where I could hang on and scream like a little girl for a few laps? I'll make sure and bring a case of beer for when you throw my ass off.

I have all the gear, just need a ride................................on the sidecar. I'll bring along a shotgun to prevent any other "riding" you lot seem to enjoy, I don't 'swing' that way.
Disclaimer: I don't actually know what I'm talking about and everything I say should be taken as words of wisdom from a armchair general/mechanic/engineer/racer.

That's what Daves old bike was like

    Sweet, that sounds awsome!
Will I need any specific paperwork, license or any of that junk?

Ummmm, the point of the game is to not throw me off the first time out right? I mean, wouldn't it make better sense to get me interested and suckered into the whole sidecar thing and then sometime down the road have fun scaring the crap outta me? Or am I just going to be scared shitless from the first lap and forever more?

It varies between individuals, I would say 7 out of ten love it, 2 out of ten can take it or leave it, one out of ten will go out of there way to not set foot with 10km of a sidecar ever again

Gordy is smooth & reliable (well he is now anyway) You will be exhausted after 3 slow laps & will wonder how anyone ever completes a race on the side.
The next time you try it you will be twice as good & so on.
You wont need a licence etc, just wear some boots & leathers that dont rip chunks out of my paintwork & vinyl.
In other words, no exposed buckles & zips. And no, I dont lend my gear.

sigh - second attempt at stickers.. :S no improvement but another 120 bucks

they couldn't do it either. 140mm does not mean 100mm !!! wtf! I even gave them the first stickers and told them they had to be bigger, they are not noticeably bigger - and seems to be a no refunds type of game sign writing, if I want another go I gotta pay again.. fuck em! paid twice now to two diff signwriters I shan't do it a third time.

its a shame, I wanted the bike to look as close to the photos I have, but all the stickers are gonna be noticeably too small - tough shit, im past outta money trying to make it look pretty

shooting up to chch now to do as much as I can before bike gets picked up tmoro arvo and then its heading to you fellas up north!

    catch yas soon

Cool. Smooth and reliable sounds good to me.

Exhausted after 3 slow laps?!?! Come on now, can't be that hard, right?

I have a set of 1-piece Berik leathers that should be alright.

Is it just a test day at Taupo? And what time are ya'll gonna be there?
