I don't know how you do it. After spending my working week making parts for cunts who hardly even know what it is they want, the last thing I want to do is start making parts for myself or my mates. I wish I just got paid to be a cynical knowitall. Then I'd get paid for my hobby and I could then spend my new found spare time making bikes.

One days some photos might surface... (I wasn't even allowed to take photos of the jigs/mill setup; even for my own records).
more details and project steps will be documented (check out www.GPRnz.com).

    Side note: GPR dyno.
Our geek student (read computer programming nerd) has nearly completed our own GPR dyno software; interfaced with our own custom Arduino microprocessor interface.
The ALPHA version will be tested next week (just in time as I've just got my motor back together).
Interface is not only the dyno bits (drum speed, RPM, Airtemp & humidity) but also four other analogue channels (knock, temps, oxygen blablbabla you get the drift)

If all successful for the dyno; the same interface design will get an upgrade and can also be used for on-bike monitoring/datalogging.
too flash for buckets; but we have some other projects on the go!!

That sounds good. Arduino is the way to go! So simple. I have recently made a suspension datalogger on to a SD card with it.

Will this flashy as dyno software be available to purchase?

Ive been tinkering with this drum over the weekend, the big bit of steel is 80mm x 400 diameter, all up around 200 kg with 2 of those plus the drum and endplates
The skinny little axle is 40 mm

Easy way to do it is use a excel macro.

Hall effect sensor -> Arduino microcontroller -> USB/Serial -> CSV on PC
you can then import the CSV into a excel macro and make it automatically create graphs.

You my friend, will be coming round to do this magic on my rolling road.

I do not like the idea of blowing up any more motors, so a tune without having to ride down the road listening to the bike is gonna be better. Having a graph for comparison is a super added bonus!

Are you going to try make a dyno?

Not a particularly accurate one. Just some thing to laod the motor for tuning. A biasic table type rolling road to use as work bench/tuning platform.
