Now whether they have the biggest Muslim majority army in the world, that I do not know, you'll have to research that one yourself. As far as when they allegedly started on the anti Christian business... well, given the indignities they've had to suffer in the last 3 centuries at the hands of various western nations... I think it's more a matter of we reap what we sow.

It will be for the greater good. What amuses, or rather worries me, is the amount of hypocrisy around here.

In Islamic cultures, for example, women are treated as objects and have very few rights. In Saudi Arabia, they are not even allowed to drive. In many other Islamic countries, women are forbidden from even spending any time alone with a male who is not part of her family or husband. Sex outside of marriage is forbidden and carries severe consequences. Men are allowed several wives. If this sort of behaviour or ideology were to happen in NZ, it would cause outrage at an unprecedented level.

Freedom of religion is also banned in Islamic countries. Islam is the only religion.

So these people are so intent on removing the freedoms of their citizens, yet you lot want to encourage such a regime. You don't want to be directly responsible for this happening, but are happy to sit back and watch it happen.

(sure I sawded it on the news). Am pretty sure white Mormons get to marry more than one woman as well. Sex outside of marriage is still seen as a sin in at least 1 Christian religion. I wonder how many Mormons there are in NZ or how many Christians who see sex before outwith marriage as a sin?

Near half a million military personnel. But they are not so well-equipped as say, Singapore [actually the main reason why Singapore has the latest F15s, F16s, Leopard main battle tanks and Apaches attack helos is because of their Muslim neighbours], but the worry is not so much military, it is the ready supply of roughly 50 million volunteers [assuming a ratio of 50-50 males and females, and then approximately removing males over age 40], that's a worrisome scenario...

No disputing that... And while it'll be easy to say 'Let bygones be bygones', 'Leave the past where it belongs' and all that, it's just not going to be so simple, as you say. Not forgotten and not forgiven is likely to boil up to the surface...

The trouble is that we are living in one of those western nations, and although we can hope that those who have not forgotten injustices of the past can distinguish one western nation from another [i.e. Kiwis from Brits/Yanks], we should either make inroads towards peace or else start to take measures to ensure we're not overwhelmed by the tides of militancy.

You do realise that lots of ex-Christians become Muslim? I know exactly what they're like.
