Shane Raitte is the man behind it.
Has a mixed reputation in the industry, (can't say more than that).
But I think his online shop is OK.
If he has the goods in stock, then there should be little problem.
If he has to order something in, (especially TM motorcycle parts) you may have a bit of a wait.
Has been bankrupted at least once.
Thanks for the reply mate...I have ordered a battery from the online shop (04/09/2012) and apart from the acknowledgement of the order same day, no further contact. I tried calling the number on the website but only get voicemail, and emails go unanswered.
It's definitely buyer beware out there.
if the site is http://www.motoworks.co.nz/ then it is currently down.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt and thanked him for the contact (finally).
How long was the turn around from when you ordered, then paid, then received?
I frequently get people who take 2-3 days to make payment, plus 1 day for it to clear. Then they expect it the a day after that. I personally set myself the restriction of not taking more than 5 working days to get to the post shop (usually just once a week).

Yeah I see what you are getting at.....I made an immediate payment by credit card when the order was placed. Got a purchase confirmation email immediately. Later the same day I received another email letting me know it shipped and telling me to expect a URL to click on for a tracking # . All of this on Sept 4th.
That was the last I heard. On the 17th I left an email on the website asking for tracking #, 18th I phoned and got voice mail. 19th same thing. On the 20th I wrote a more strongly worded email and got a reply within an hour at about 7pm that the courier was to blame and another battery would be shipped next day.
Still no tracking # and still no communication even after I thanked them for sorting it out.
Am I being unreasonable? Maybe, but I think with online shopping trust is a big part of the deal. Normally with reputable shops communication is good and timely.
No I did not do my homework on this shop, my fault, and if I had lost my money it would have been my lesson to learn. But I don't think I had expectations that were too high.
Cheers
