People are paid a great deal of money to achieve the "Classic Paint Scheme" for that particular model ... whatever "That" model is ...

The paint scheme is almost always mentioned in any new model review ... a bad mention CAN affect sales ...

I'm pleased that somebody else posted the ZRX1200R photo, although I think that the colour scheme on my one (a 2002 A2) was better than that.

It's a ZRX400 but don't tell anyone that I'm madly in love with them.
I do think the ZRX were the best (and only decent effort) retro muscle bike the Japanese have done.

Some are really showing flair which is not normally expected. The likes of the current crop of sports bikes are trying to retain a continuity for brand image but outside that we are seeing more daring in both style and colour.

I love the late '60's Honda's and almost everything from the '70's.

Is that a 1987 75th anniversary model, done in burgundy and slate with gold pin striping?
If it is , it is the same paint job I had on my 1987 1100 Evo Sportster, beautiful combinations of colours that suited the style of the bike really well

It is later than that. It's post 2000 as it's a 1450 but I reckon it's pre 2006 as it's still a 5 speed. Therefore, if it's an anniversary bike it can only be a 2003 and while very nice colours, this isn't an anniversary specific paint scheme if I'm correct in my model year.

I think you are right. It is all original and the paint hasn't been changed though.

I was browsing through my library of pictures and came across my Bro-in-Law's Anniversary Heritage Softail. The paint is gorgeous and it occurred to me that some recent OE paint schemes are really, very good. I love the new Lambretta scooters for example and I wondered how many thought that manufacturers of some models had colour schemes that you would never consider altering?

the paint on two bikes I saw yesterday: The green metalflake on the HD 72, and the purple and white bonneville A2 I sat on yesterday. I am very conflicted because I would like one of each thanks.
