Im realy looking forward to this. I see some of you have allready started booking your accomadtion early so i geuss i should get my ass into gear aswell. Im trying to get my bike sorted ive made a rear carrier awhile back but it has since broken twice. I have just made pannier frame work to go over my side covers to keep them off the exhaust and tied them in with my rear carrier so will load it up and do some testing. I will have to get my self a gps aswell. Is there anyone going from dunedin. Im hoping i can tag along on the ride with some others
heres a pic of my frame work. i might make a alloy bash plate yet aswell not sure tho as the plastic one works well anyway

Hi Chris. Good to see you going off road finally. I am going again this year. Happy to hang out with the locals. Haven't got anything booked for Alex yet so if you or any others are looking at a bulk deal count me in. As for luggage, got fed up with stuff falling off the KTM and ordered a Giant Loop roll from Aussie.( they are not cheap tho so it will have to be my Xmas present). Re GPS- I prefer the roll chart. Its cheap and functional (not to mention superbly organised by Ryan et al) It works better for my crap aging eyesight too!

Sweet sounds good to me will have to catch up with you. Would be good to talk about the ride and so on. I might beable to get a house in Alex as my wifes work has a holiday house they are allowed to use but will have to find out more about it. As for the gps i still want to get one as im always out riding by myself and it would be good to see where some of these tracks go (dead ends or not)
I cant wait this will be the bigest adveture ride ive ever done. I was sold on it as soon as i seen the pics/videos bloody amazing country. so big thanks to Ryan and all involved in seeting up this mammoth ride
Accommodation booked...looking forward to another Great Ride!
Thanks Again, Ryan!
