    They know full well that requiring a drivers licence number is illegal except for driver licensing related issues - and that includes their demand for it for vehicle licensing.

    The NZTA are complete cunts.

    And your friends are very wise not to disclose a drivers licence number.

    The main cause of identity theft isn't the criminal sneaking through the rubbish bin nicking your bank statement.

    Its the NZTA verifying your identity to banks, VEDA advantage etc etc with a service called Driver Licence Verification Service. Which of course proves nothing except that the criminal knows your DL number.
