I'd have to check but I thought Daves bike had a mounting point for a second smaller caliper, not sure on the later LCR

If you have two master cylinders off the same pedal as most outfits do one should still work, providing as Drew pointed out you have enough room for the extra lever travel
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

On that note, I did a piss poor job of introducing everyone to Alan, aka fanta pants/big gay Al/cunt/whatever you wanna call him, to everyone on the day. He was the half ranga, with the full ranga girlfriend that came over to the pit with me just before containergate race.

I should have kept my frilly umbrella from the day. Complete strangers were admiring it all afternoon.

Bob and I had this conversation many many many years ago. I told him under no situation should he stay on if we were ever going to hit something. I knew full well he'd have bailed before we hit. I wasn't in the least concerned he'd be hitting the container.

That's what I was hoping too, but alas no. With the bias taking the path of least resistance, with no fluid in the side/rear master cylinder, the bias simply pivoted at the front plunger rod and went to the rear/side cylinder. Rendering it useless. Stinkage.....

The brake failing. I would have been up and over the barrier so as not to get run over, before you hit the wall.

I still don't get that the front brake didn't come on at all. There is some setup issues to be addressed as well as sorting out the wheel allignment in my opinion. But my experience is limited, so I could be wrong.

I get that, I just would think that the empty master would 'bottom out', and the working one would then move.

    Ah well, all academic now.

Is the chair at you place? Post up some good pics of the damage so we can gasp and offer more useless advice.

I'm pretty sure I've seen something in one of Carroll Smith's books maybe about this. A lot of the stuff in his books is Formula Atlantic and i think they mandated some form of auxiliary stops or travel limiter for the bias bar which ensured what happened to you couldn't happen on a formula car.
I can't look in a mates collection of CS books til he reopens but someone here should have them....I'd have thought Prepare to Win at least would be required reading....
If this setup is feasible it's a damm sight easier to police and do than extra calipers tacked on....

Sounds good. If you can find it and post up a pic of the system?
