With a week to go.I see theres still 9 riders that haven't fronted up with the coin..
just a thought...maybe a payment cut off date..Any riders that haven't payed by that date
there place is given to the riders that were two slow to reg in the first 150..
Seems a shame that these guys could be keeping serious riders out...

There are no big puddles by the main road, so you should be up for the challenge

If that was a puddle I would love to see a large bog hole

Dont worry I rang Central Otago District Council and asked them to pump out anything deeper than 300mm deep including swimming pools and puddles in the main st

Whats the longest section between fuel stops? Laurence to Omarama? 280km-ish?

290km if doing challenge section according to the fuel stops chart provided on the DB1k website which you should have downloaded and read - did I say that last bit out loud - oh no I might be in trouble again.

Hi Mark, sorry to hear about your hicup with the tank, I had a similler battle when I fitted the Safari tank to my TE, although not as significant 3-4 mm distortion in the pump fitting, but it certainly needed some care in getting it to seal correctly.

    See you at the DB.

So back to plan B again, my partners DR650.
Time to purchase some new front and rear brake pads and a countershaft sprocket, as they will probably not last the distance and organize another new tyre (17 inch instead of 18 inch ).
Give it a quick service and swap that suspension back to standard height and i should be good to go by next wednesday.

So Ryan, can you change my entry again from a TE630 to a DR650.

I am starting to wonder if the universe is trying to tell me that i should own and ride a DR650.

I use 13/45. Good for 100+ comfortably and will still do challenges ok. 14/50 is a little slower and 15/50 is a bit faster. I'd stick with the 14/50.

I'm running 13/51 obviously on the shorter side but I'm still getting 130+ which is more than enough for that bike...
