Matt. Quite happy to be tail end charlie/sweeper on Friday if the position is still available. Do we pass through Ashwick Flat at the end? Have a detour to take there. TT2000 route recce.
Hey Mark,
Couple of things,
thanks for the offer of being a tailend Charlie, intend breaking the day down to four sections to spread around the tailend charlie task, if you can do one section, transalper is doing another and hoping for a volunteer on the other two sections, that would be fantastic.
Yes we do go thru Ashwick Flat....I haven't entered the TT2000 but are going to ride with a mate on one or two of the days...do you have a riding companion or would you like to tag along with us?...talk to you about it Friday
Cheers Matt

See you guys at the Yaldhurst on Friday morning. My accomodation and back up acommodation fell through so have just booked a cabin at the yaldhust for tomororow night.
Anyone keen for a bevvy or 2 I'll be lurking around the bar.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
One bike recovered already, near Rakaia Gorge.
Nothing serious - KTM530 rear wheel bearing. Should be fixed & on his way soon.
Cheeky bugger, bearings were fine this year however the radiator not so good.....
Ride down turned a bit messy at end, didn't get to Mayfield to approx 13:30 because of a couple of hold ups, then there was only two staff doing meals due a funeral happening so food took a long time to come out.
In the end half decided that Orari Gorge might take to long if the water was to high so Paul Dellis led a group thru Hanging Rock area to Fairlie via backroads.
I took a hardy 15 odd thru Orari Gorge and had a great ride, final water crossing was only a little over axle deep, Coll must have thought he was looking a bit dusty so decided he should take himself and the bike for a swim there but didn't have any dramas getting it going.
In the end both groups arrived in Fairlie within 15mins so all was sweet and the Rugby club feed was enjoyed by all
