Not mine strictly speaking, but I was washing my bike one afternoon, wifey walks up the driveway and sees the car spot in the garage is empty...watching the penny drop that she went to work in the car (unusual) and hopped on the train to come home (normal) was most amusing...

No drama since the car was locked in the basement at her place of work, but she begged me not to tell anyone...but the security guard at work made sure the office was informed of her blonde moment...

The girls at her work gave her grief for ages, until someone else took the clown of the week award away from her

Earlier this week, heading back to work, can't find my bike keys, looked everywhere. Dug spares out of suit trouser pocket (emergency keys) got to work, stripping off my bike gear, there's a set of keys on the rear seat. I still have no idea how they got there, they would have fallen off surely? early onset Alzheimer's?

    weird/lucky!
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

haha, sounds like what an old flatmate did. Woke up one morning asked everyone if they had seen his car, no one had. So he reported it stolen, 3 or 4 days later, they ring up saying they found it up the road in the supermarket car park, locked up. He had obviously driven it up there, then walked back.... why, I have no idea, he was a bit, erm, odd...... to put it mildly.

Topped up my oil one day before a big ride and as I put the cap on the oil container, Opps that belongs on the bike not the container...30minutes delay trying to fish the dam cap out of the container...used everything...including chopsticks...all which failed miserably...had to pour it into a pyrex container from the kitchen to tip the thing out...oil all over the kitchen bench...sister was not pleased with the mess.

New bike, Fuel switch has 3 settings F=fuel R=reserve and P=primary surely, well yes if you know that primary is in fact prime and is only selected if you want to completely drain the tank with no warning you have no fuel left. Luckily when I did drain every ounce of gas from the tank I was a mere 300m push from a petrol station. Lucky I think I was (I was also thinking what amazing kms I was getting from 1 tank of gas haha)

Managed to drop a GSXR600 in my driveway and fucked it big time to the point that it's very difficult to even ride because it's so rough.

Parked the bike up in town, walked to ANZ and got some bank stuff done. Went back to the bike over half an hour later and thought I'd have a ciggie before I take off again. Glanced at my bike and my bloody keys were sitting on the passenger seat all this time.

    Oh Hmmmmmm
    a definite 'grey/blonde' moment?

    Was a 'few' years ago
Going on a 'trip' with the wife. Loaded the bike, put the throwover panniers on... Phone went. Was the friends we were 'meeting' on route. They had had a 'small issue'.... basically listened, got to laugh at them and their slight misfortune, one of them (him) had forgotten to pack the plastic bag into their panniers containing her undies, Sunday morning and she wasnt a happy girl with no fresh knickers to wear.. so they were delaying leaving their Motel to find a store?

(NOTE to ALL.. NEVER laugh at others misfortune, Karma WILL bite you arse) ... the call took about 30 mins, anyway we put on our gear and off we went

    Karma!.......
Guess who forgot to arrange the panniers properly? Incorrectly placed Panniers, high speed, wheels turning, panniers flapping and touching 'things' during leaning round bends... at the first fuel stop (about 160 miles) ....part of the bottom and back had been 'ground' away by the rear tyre.... Yes you guessed it. Completely empty pannier bag, AND it was the one containing OUR undies......... guess our friends had the real 'last laugh'...........

Changing oil on my old TT250, the sump plug fell in the large tray that was catching the oil. I forgot about the plug in there and being an untidy kiwi ( at the time ) I chucked the lot down a large steep grass bank. After searching the bank for ages with no luck, I ended up getting the weedeater out and clearing half the damn bank before I found it. I was covered from head to toe in oily grass and pretty annoyed with myself.

Reserve will completely drain your tank, well to a point. Prime is for when you have completely run out and refilled again and need to get fuel to the carbs to get it fired up again.
