You really should borrow a sports car and take it on a twisty road sometime. You simply don't slow down for corners, you usually accelerate around them to maintain your speed. When you only have 130hp every kilo saved in weight means something. The Honda S2000 has 240hp and around the same weight. Now that is a real road weapon!
I was getting low on reds so thought you might be along.Of course you have never driven one either have you?

I do actually. Manual (of course) Series 1 in BRG with tan leather & 14" minilites
Could I smoke any half-competent sprots bike rider on a tight twisty road in it? No. And my riding is pretty average by the way, that I can have verified by an independent third party on here if required (Just in case you're going to start telling me I must be Rossi).

If you recall my comment I didn't say I could smoke a sports bike rider, I said he/she would have to be fairly good to get too far ahead of me. As for my comment about equalling a bike I said "if the straights were short". Around the likes of the Coro the average 250 would gap most sports cars with less than 250hp. Too many straights and hills.
I usually say what I mean, it is others who then exaggerate it...
