The simple solution is to fill the form out correctly, but refuse to sign it. At the end of the form you have to sign that the information given is true and correct. By excluding the number of motorcycles from the vehicle count then obviously the information is not true and correct.

yeah, i'm going to take someone elses advice and not be in territorial waters from about 11:59 to 12:01.

interesting to soo the "smoking" question in there, too. i'm sure that's related to public policy...

And? The questions asked: How many motor vehicles (not counting motorbikes) do the people who live here have available for their use? If you have a race/rally/stock car etc... is that available for use? If it's functional, then it's available for use?
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Years ago, our flatmate entered "Ultruistic Hedonist" as his religion. My wife and I entered it against our religions the next census (and ever since) and in the newspapers it was reported that Ultruistic Hedonists had increased by 200%

Guess we're all Ultruistic Hedonists - as motorcyclists we are only interested in the highest quality pleasures.

    ULTRUISTIC HEDONISM!!! The quality religion.

    Lies, Damned lies, and statistics.

I guess they will be getting lots of the former, so they can be busy for the next (?) years working out and manipulating the latter.

on teh last census they asked how I got to work that day .... "Excluding motorcycle"

I wrote if firm red pen "If my motorcycle isnt a motor vehicle why the f#@k am I paying so much registration for it" then in the answer space I wrote with red felt pen "MOTORCYCLE!!!!"

I went onto the census website and have asked them why they have excluded motorcycles when its w often used form of transport and we are required to pay a very hight registration fee to use them.

will be interesting if they actually reply, if they do i will post the reply on here

But I recon all bikers should email similar to them as well.

    You're a fucking idiot.

/edit: Actually, now I've read the whole thread, it's actually a thread full of fucking idiots.

It's amazing how important some people think bikes are... I might start campaigning to have them banned just to fuck with the dick heads in this thread.

What is this "census" that everyone seems to be talking about ?

I have never done one but it sounds like it comes around every 5 - 10 yrs .... if the fuckers want me then they will have to run along side me or try at stupid o'clock when I get in the door .... but good luck in me answering the door at night as I tend to walk around Nekid ( I am sure that it is my right to in my own house )

Just as important as any car driver.

My wife and I both commute by motorcycle. We don't own any other form of transport and never use public transport (there's none available where we live anyway). Why do we not count?

What gets me is that they don't explain why they want to know. If it was for calculating road wear then I wouldn't mind. I just wish they'd explain it.

God you are so close to 'getting it' it's not funny, why not just take that extra step?
