There was a possible sighting of the bike in Waikanae on Saturday afternoon, if it was it, all the signwriting had been removed so will now be just black and white, but still very recognizeable.
Thanks for the comments Dean, good to hear, will catch you at the track, good luck wth the racing.
Anyway, please keep a lookout and thanks for your help.

Just a thought have you tried advertising a reward no questions asked deal,i had a mate that did it with his 69 bigblock camaro that was way underinsured he ended up getting it back with bald tyres and paid the gang 10k because they were the lucky guys that were able to find it.Tui i would think, they wouldve taken it.

Maybe not stolen for money, could now be living at the bottom of the ocean? Maybe a competitor found an easy way to beat it? Worth a thought... plenty of people will smile to your face whilst stabbing you in the back.

Sad to say it's probably doesn't exsist now.
You can bet it was in bits within a couple of hours.
Only an idiot would try to race or ride it, but hey I hope for the owners sake they are stupid.
Computer coding and Traced, means nothing sorry. This is a modern world, cops are smarter but so are the baddies.

I'd be tracking the owners of all other 1000rrs' my bet is parts.

Bit of an update, the bike has been seen in Palmerston North this afternoon. It was recognised by someone that knows their bikes, followed for a distance on the road before being lost, police were contacted. Sounds like the belly pan has been painted white. There is a chance that bike has been ridden on the road from Waikanae to Palmy as this is the second possible sighting, both being ridden on the road, this would mean that plenty of people must have seen it. Even if back roads were used, you still have to go through Otaki. So if anyone has seen a white race bike with no lights, plates etc please contact police.
    Thanks
    Ross

Crazy stuff. Perhaps the thief really is an amateur joy rider - looking good for recovery if so.

As has been pointed out - a pro would have stripped it by now.

    Hi Ross,
Both Russell and l were shocked when we heard that your beloved BMW was stolen from your property on Saturday morning. It sickens me that there are Low Life Scum Bags out there who think that they have the right to take from you whats not there's. They wouldn't like it if the boot was on the other foot. I hope that who ever took it gets their well deserves when & if they ever get found.
May they Rott in Hell for what they have done.
    I feel for your loss.
    Cheers Skip (D.G) & Rusty.

Bit of a puzzle if so, they went to some trouble to steal it, joyriders tend to be opportunists.

They stole his helmet and gloves too !

Most thieves are stupid and opportunistic, couldn't help themselves i'd say, broke into the garage and probably found an unlocked bike on stands and just pushed it home with the gear ! Or perhaps just around the corner and started it if Ross has the ignition on a switch of sorts !

Spotted a bike that looked a little like it yesterday heading north SH1 Otaki but this one had lights, so it's registering and they all being looked at !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Hi all, bit of an update on the beemer, there have so far been three arrests in relation to the theft, two from levin were arrested over a week ago and charged over the burglary after a fingerprint was found in the garage. Bike was not at their address however, but evidence that it had been was found, a stolen camera had photos of the bastards sitting on the bike in their garage (criminals really are stupid)! They had sold the bike onto another scumbag for the sum of $2000.00 the next day. This guy was arrested this morning. He initially denied everything but then confessed to receiving it but claims that when he realised it was stolen, dumped it in a ditch near Halcome! I'm pretty sure that if you pay $2000 for a $40000 bike, chances are its going to be stolen! He could still be in posession of the bike or he could have moved it on, bottom line is I still have no bike. What I need is for people to still keep there eyes and ears open and to spread the word that there is a reward FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE RECOVERY OF THE BIKE. The bike is still intact, still easily recogniseable and as far as we know it is still black and white with no stickers on it. It does however possibly have a makeshift headlight of some description. Another interesting point is that the bike went from my place to an address in Waikanae (somewhere over the railway line I think) where the stickers were removed before it went to Levin. The Police are closing in on all involved, which is great, but I still really want the bike back. The guy who received the bike has connections in Levin, Shannon, Foxton, Masterton and Palmerston North, my guess is that it is still somewhere in this area. Thanks to all.

Thank you for the update. It's good to hear that they got some of the perps. Hope the bike will be found soon. Shared on FB.
