Bosslady, you have a tremenedous ability to start a thread and end up with it being 30+ pages long.

    Well done.

If you're still keen for that drink Saturday night, I'll take you up on the offer. No rides with strangers though.

As others have said, just ride your ride; and remember that 50% of what you read on KB is bollocks...it's just hard working out what 50%.

Sent from.......forget it, I can't think of anything creative or mildly amusing anyway.....
    Eh? Only 50%?
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.

Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.

Hope you had the visor thing sorted?
Hell yeah, I still remember the first twisty, country night ride that I did. Scared the shit out of me, never really got over the 100kph mark, and even then it was a decent straight. (And I'm not exactly risk averse.) headlight on a ZXR250 was shit, every on coming car around corners appeared to want to take me out...I felt out of my depth. But, things change, people develop skills and life goes on.

Night riding is pretty cool, I love it, and the weather is like this, can't beat it.
My first night ride experience was...
First time at night, first time at night in the rain, second or third time with a pillion and I had a tinted visor, we were an hour and ten minutes from home.
Lucky for for me I knew the road really well.

I love it NOW. A lot actually...but pretty intimidating that first time (third or fourth time ever riding a motorbike...before I even got my L plates). I don't enjoy wet night rides much, unless I have super effective wet weather gear. But that's just 'cause I hate getting wet
