    Goodness me Bovril tastes good.

    Amazingly good.

Also, why is Weetbix so fecking expensive at the moment? Making up for the abysmal progress on the mermyte factory?

Got mine! Got mine! Got mine! Yay!!!

up at the supermarket at 5 to 7 this morning, waiting patiently outside the door (along with 4 other desperate marmite lovers) ; yeah, 4, i know it's a bit lame but hey I wasn't on my own...

What!! none in the spreads aisle - this is outrageous. Another woman got a young staff member to go find it quick smart and he sheepishly came back saying they'd made a display of it somewhere else in the store. Get to automated check out. Swipe the black gold through the machine. "Item not recognised". YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS (best John McInroe voice). Long story short, checkout operators had to manually put every single jar through as they hadn't prepared their systems to accept the barcode on the jars...

Never mind. It was worth the wait as I sit with my hot toast and MARMITE with a cuppa tea. Ahhhhhhh. Simple pleasures.

$4.39 for 250g jar. Countdown were giving a 250g jar away free when you spend $50 instore. I was quite happy thank you with my 2 jars. Am sitting with a couple of crackers with butter and marmite with my cup of tea. Mmmmmmmmmm. Even very generously shared some with hubby who said "gee, this is nice" Come to the dark side...I have Marmite...

I didn't need to spend $50.00 so didn't. It went through fine though and of course I had to have it on toast for lunch!

Tasted as good as I remember it, too~!

Well it's a funny old world!
I have been a devout Marmite boy all my life however since swapping to vegemite I much prefer it!
Marmite has five times the sugar and it tastes like it in retrospect.
So no more marmite for me go the mighty VEGEMITE !!!!!!!!
