Alright I now have the following to get rid of:

1x Ignition - Buggered
1x Filler cap - good condition
1x seat lock - good condition
1x key - good condition

Also looking at some new tyres. Current ones have around 2mm left so still a bit of life. Are these ok for street use or more suited to the track? http://www.cycletreads.co.nz/product..._small_to.aspx

Had a big Sunday - after 18 months without a VFR (or any bike for that matter) I just had to get another again. So drove down from Auckland to Lower Hutt to pickup the Gen5 2001 VFR800 with the old man driving the car back.

Needs a clean now - but long term keeper. I first had a Gen5 back in 98 (new from RedBaron)- then moved it on when I moved to OZ. Should not have sold that bike - have had 2 gen6 since (2004 new) and 2008 that I picked up as the second owner. But I just missed the Gen5 - so was good to be riding one again.

She needs a bit of tidy with a few scratches picked up over her 12 years of life. It will be while before I get to that. Thinking of one day getting a high side exhaust - either staintune or GPR. Will post a pic once I give her a bit of clean.

Hi, all you VFR400 people.
I am doing up a 1990 VFR 400 i recently bought of Trade Me, turning it back to original.
I need a steering head nut cover cap, and also a good condition red rear pillion seat.
Parts that i have taken off the bike already that i want to sell at some stage will be a, Rear sub frame that goes with a painted Tyga rear tail piece with single round tail light, also an original tail fairing with rear taillights, but this need a complete repaint.

...after a visit from a pudgy mate who likes to jump on footpegs...I am now looking for a front left foot peg for a 96 vfr750

Bracket etc is fine...just the peg if anyone has one lying around

OK so I am a lazy bastard and cant be buggered running through the previous posts on this thread to see but...... Has anyone put on some aftermarket cans on a Gen 6 VFR800? If so, what were they, what did they cost, has there been any fuel injection/ ECU issues, are there any good or bad points to make etc etc?

I am considering putting some on to hear that V4 noise a little better but thought it would pay to ask around first.

Definitely interested - not in a hurry as I wouldn't be looking at gettin the bike til June. looking at getting gatch's nc30 for a road going track day bike, and it needs front and side fairings (but I can get a full set minus the inspection panel for a good price). Are they painted and how much would you be wanting for them? Feel free to pm :-) just out of interest, are they the ones dm bought?

I have a set of non-stock fairings that came on a VFR I had. they would be OK for a trackday bike but are not silhouette stock so you couldnt use for pre89 I dont think.
