Nobody ever said weed doesn't have an effect, smokeu has a point that you can get way more fucked up on alcohol, it doesn't impare motor function in the same way.
Even extreme amounts of cannabis just results it an intense lethargy, I have tested the non-toxicity of cannabis many times with incredible doses, and I'm always able to get myself to bed unassisted.

I believe even the pro cannabis camp would be happy to be subject to similar rules in regard to driving as alcohol and prescription medication, my preferance would be a sobriety test much like they use in America.

There are many, many articles on the adverse effects of cannabis, as there are quite a few on the positives.

I'm overly sure if personal experience should be used in a rational argument? If we can, I've smoked plenty of pot and it never did me any good, and I can say I was fucking useless on it.

Well since we all have the ability to grow our own fruit and veges yet most don't and rather go buy it from a shop ready to go.. (or steal it) I'm guessing most people are lazy arses that will go and buy it..

Not just personal experience, I have smoked with many, many people, and have seen the absolute worst effects if the drug (drug induced psychosis and emphysema), even this is subjective but I do stand by my statement that the effects of extreme dosages of alcohol are worse than extreme dosages of pot, I have been paralytic from too much alcohol, throwing up and incapable of anything at all, and I have seen it dozens of times even in those with a massive tolerance, I have also felt and seen the effects of extreme cannabis use and never lost even close to that level of function, still capable of carrying on a conversation, making myself a coffee or playing video games, but wouldn't consider driving in that state, hence roadside testing should be employed to allow the cops to do something about those who are happy to drive in that state.

Yes, that is true, that is the basis for my argument that it should be grown commercially and sold, regulated and taxed under similar rules to alcohol, undercut the gangs and remove their ability to make a profit (I would suggest that cannabis would be the biggest source of income to a gang, as it's easy and quite safe to grow aswell as popular enough to have a huge customer base)

Of course this would seriously affect police budget (freeing up that money for education or healthcare swell as providing more), and force them to spend their time actually catching criminals, but who wants that, certainly not the police.

Who the hell steals fruit and veges? Is this a major problem? Perhaps the police should organize a task force to eradicate this scourge of hardened criminals stealing apples and pumpkins, bring back capital punishment do we can give em the chair.

Those would have been preexisting conditions that are not necessarily related to cannabis consumption.

Yep, agreed, every cannabis smoker who I have seen with emphysema also smoked atleast a pack a day of cigarettes, and the psychosis episode I'm talking about was exasperated by (extremely heavy) pot use, but was preexisting.
