Anyway, XT's can't be considered "proper" adventure bikes

    Unless, it's a 225, 250, 350, 600, Tenere or PeteBlen's one

The Baja 1,000 is like one day at the Dakar.
I was going to say that you have taken leave of your senses, but I see you own an Xr650 (and I hate thrashing in the obvious).

Charley "did" five days of the Dakar then had to withdraw through injury. Good effort but hardly in the "did the Dakar" catergory

Exactly - if it was that hard Charley would not have lasted 5 days

Bugger off - Charlie did absolutely bloody amazingly well in the Dakar. You look at how many professional riders/ drivers DNF or die during the Dakar. He made it to day 5 - an excellent effort considering he hadn't done any real competitive racing & was pretty honest about his lack of abilities & confidence.

Apart from the whinging which got on a lot of peoples nerves, he walked the walk & I'd say he definitely "Did the Dakar"

    Personal attack?
    Hardly.

I woulda thought a Baja Hero would have been well hard.
I'll treat you from now on like the flower that you obviously are...
