Have only used *555 a couple of times, last time would have been a few years ago when some dick was overtaking, in bunnyhop fashion, several cars on double yellows into oncoming traffic. I too was contacted later to be told the car had had a number of complaints from eariler so it all adds to the bigger picture.
The only time I've ever dobbed in a truck was one travelling at speed on the motorway that had a real fishtail going on with his trailer as he moved from lane to lane. Instead of *555 I rang the company directly for them to deal with.
A bike rider would have to be doing something pretty extreme for me to call him in; so not really any different to how I'd treat any other road user in that respect. I definitely don't consider "the brotherhood () of bikers" a no-go area for dobbing in just 'cos they take to the road on two wheels instead of four.
Any Honda rider would be worth dobbing in. Just in case...![]()
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....
I don't eat dog food and I don't talk to policemen if I can help it.
So shitting on other people for doing shit that is no worse than shit I've done myself is not really likely to happen any day soon.
Fact is that by the time I've finished stressing over the possibliys of turning dog,,,,,,,,the event would be over and 30 other fuckheads will of called the cops.
So there's really no need for me to lower myself.
Any of you "good boys" want a bicky ?![]()
$8
Just because I'm bigger than Gordie, (not that it's much of an achievement), so I must be worth more.
I've been dobbed in, for wheelies. Not from bikers that I know of, but it doesn't matter. It's very hard for five oh to do anything without multiple complaints of the same event as far as I know.
I'd call in if I reason to believe the rider was drunk as fuck, or if he/she endangered my family in any way.
I have considered dobbing in the ones who start stoopid threads...
I'll never forget this...
I was sitting in the outside part of the smugglers arms/governors bay hotel one fine Friday afternoon when two obviously drunk young lads staggered out of the bar and hopped on a ratty old CB900F.clearly neither of them should have been on a bike let alone riding over the port hills back to Christchurch
I turned to my mate and said as much, his words to me I'll Never forget..."its their funeral"
They roared off up the hill heading towards the sign of the kiwi,we could all hear their progress up the hill as the noisy sagar 4 into 1 did its thing.Suddenly it went quiet....my mate and I knew what was next .......sure enough a white faced lady in a car raced in to the car park a few minutes later and asked to use the phone(This was before cellphones were common)
After she had called the cops she was telling anyone who would listen about what happened.....turns out our fearless CB900 Rider had completely failed to take a gentle bend half way up the big straight, and ended up as a hood ornament on an oncoming truck.Needless to say neither the rider or the passenger of the bike survived.
I still to this day wish I had done something to prevent this, and to this day if I see anyone on a bike or any vehicle behaving like a dickhead I *555 them without hesitation
"more than two strokes is masturbation"

It was someone 'dobbing' in my bike that had the Police surround it and arrest the thieving w&*ker who was on it - wouldn't have got it back if it wasn't for the person who *555'd it that night.
So having said that, I figure the way Karma works is now I should do the same, and maybe another biker will get his ride back, or a father might get the message to not ride in a way that'll have his kids growing up without him.
Now if you are going to use logic and common sense and get under peoples tinfoil hats here it looks like you will get in trouble.
The anti establishment wah wahs will growl at you. FTP and all that other teenage angst bit.
I spose you think about keeping your rego costs down by getting dickheads off bikes too hmm?!
Fuck em all, if you dont like it *555 .
If you dont call then suck it when you or yours suffer on the road. Reality. Usually goes down poorly.
The only time I *555 was to report a drunken cager that was all over the road, - so much so we were afraid to even try to pass him.
IIRC, They reacted pretty quickly, and sent the popo's to intercept.
However to the Tard that said he would never "lower himself" and dob someone in for possibly doing something that he himself has done. - When much younger I was a stupid kid with a fast Nissan and I used to drive it drunk. until I stacked it, and took out a power pole. Now I am the proud owner of said power pole outside Wesley College. and almost 10 years has passed, I still regret driving that night and can only wonder what might have been if the pole had been a family car.
I am proud to have helped take that driver off the road that one night. (even though I have done the same thing) Why would we not practice what we have learned?
lets be honest reporting that guy or girl that is wasted and on the road is only going to get him/her 6months license suspension and a fine. - Unless they are a habitual offender. Although this act might just save someone's life.
Drunk driving or really idiotic behavior is the only time I would *555. Bike or Cage, doesn't matter.
