I was going to comment about the sucky vacuum wipers, but now that I think about it they were on my 100E Prefect. Used to pull out onto the motorway on the way to work, floor the gas pedal to creep up to speed... and the wipers would stop dead.

I bought that off an old guy who couldn't afford to fix the steering. Every time you went over a bit of a bump at anything over 10mph the wheel would start to shake from side to side. It rapidly got worse, until you braked down below 10mph again. Drove it around for 6 months like that before I found another steering box for it. The old one was full of sawdust and dead grease.

The MGC was the factory straight 6 with the C-series engine (Westminster & 6/110) and had the bulge.

The factory V8 never had the bulge if I recall correctly, but some of the 'after market' V8s might have done?

Hell yeah, always been a big fan of the C, they just look far too pretty

I'd love a BGT though, just because you can still get them slightly cheap, and I can build a nice motor for one...

I'm a knob, because I'd love to plop a small block chev in one, or even a dirty injected 304, because iron block motors make the best noise

Not sure if I'd want a V8 in mine, but agree about getting a BGT. A nice looking car that doesn't go for crazy money.

WTF... couldnt believe it today, was headed out for a ride and passed 15 odd MX5's I cant believe there is a MX5 club... and ya know what I dont think I saw a female driving one, actually most had male pasangers aswell... fark next LOL

on another note, think those that thought my head needed reading for wanting to put a TR6 engine into a stag were right, THIS is what needs to go into it, mind you it would need the engine and all running gear... it is Brit but, what is it people?
