this is what I love about forums. so many haters. if you meet people face to face and ride a bike we all get on.. its about the ride and the common interest we have.
I joined in behind a group of HD's last weekend. great blokes, may good radar bait.
be a lover not a hater
even that gang scummy is in are not a bad bunch of blokes.
it's not about 'haters', regardless of good attitude, there are simply shitloads of HD heroes who think their shit doesnt smell, BECAUSE they ride one.... good example for you... regardless of the fact she rides a Can am RT-T (which costs as much as a full dress Hurdley or Beemer)
Vicky went down south to see family, and was on the ferry. The trip over?? several bikes, one HD, they guy on the HD sat and chatted to the others quite normally....
on the way back? She was on a ferry with a group (around 20) HD's being loaded on for a 'rally/meet' 'up North'? Her comment was... The women were acting more like kids, loud, noisy and most of he conversation she overheard, was all around who had drunk who's wine last night. She was the only other 'rider' onboard...not ONE of the so called 'friendly' HD riders even bothered to acknowledge her.... She really doesnt give a shit to be honest, but sadly it goes to show the are a lot of them that fuel this 'bullshit' attitude that goes around.
I've watched it develop since the 80's with the Evo HD's onwards... I've owned Triumphs, BMW and Moto Guzzi, and have never seen this same 'tude' that seems to be 'part' of HD ownership for many.... your right they ARE just a bike, period!
If the road to hell is paved with good intentions; and a man is judged by his deeds and his actions, why say it's the thought that counts? -GrayWolf
That's probably because Harley owners are too ashamed to admit that they got conned out of properly decent bike money for an extremely overweight, archaic, noisy thing that is outperformed by a 20 year old 2 stroke 250 that has seen better days. If you want 40 year old technology, then why not buy a 40 year old bike that's been restored?
