    Soooo....

Anyone know how to re-space a Mavic Aksium rear hub from 130mm to 135mm?
Thinking of a Crossride axle with a bit of machining to allow for the different bearing spacing...

Just get a Shimano quick release, steel one. Do it up nice and tight. She will be sweet.

It's a beefy alloy frame and I suppose each chain stay is only moving 2.5mm...

    A Crossride axle is $95...

Those lights linked to early on in the thread aren't available any more. These look similar so I bought 3 of 'em...

1200 Lumens? US$27? Not much to complain about there

They look identical to our ones. But brighter

    Or 1600 lumens for $19.99US http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-CR...1-p-48370.html

Been out twice this week with this light, probably doesn't quite have the spread I'd like but more than adequate for my riding
I cut the straps off and have the whole lot mounted on my helmet and dont really notice it, meant to be about 250gm

I'd actually rather run the old 12v Halogen as that was awesome but the 1kg battery I had to lug around puts me off that

Started transferring the bits off my hard tail onto the Santa Cruz Blur XC frame today.
Only need a new seat post, front derailleur and steering bearings.

Tempted to make it 2x9 but I'll try a few rides first and see how it goes...

Has anyone tried a fork mount bracket on mtb suspension forks? If I need to be more precise, they would be RockShox Recon TK forks. Just wondering about clearing the bottom of the fork, where road bike forks are much narrower. Can't see these brackets in NZ, so I'd have to order from overseas...
