Snow flurries only here, nothing settling.
    Mostly drizzle and bloody cold.

I saw two police vehicles as I was sitting behind cages waiting for a passing opportunity - so no worries there either.
Piss off, this is about crappy weather. Lumsden to kingston closed too apparently.

Outside?:4 degrees, chilly wind, roads dry but plenty of dark threatening clouds.

Snow all the way from lumsden to manapouri, some of it quite deep. Road open from center hill to gorge hill, no trailers and chains may be needed, we didnt and it was fun SH6 from lumsden to kingston closed at the jollies.

And if it gets really bad, you could always stop and do the front zip up.

Had the odd showers in Auckland as I was moving about the city. They'd move in, piss down, then bugger off, leaving blue sky

Fucking bizarre I reckon. Still, this driving malarkey ain't half bad. The rain and cold can't get through all that glass and metal. (Normally I'd ride, but hauling stuff all about the place needed 4 wheels).

Well, I got home dry - and once again it is a sunny and windless day in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. (Sorry ...)

Today I've got the truck because I have to pick up my boat from having the motor serviced and a bit of other work ... There is no sign of the wind, rain and hail the weather service has promised us ...

We lost the power about 7:30 last night, doubt we'll get it back tonight. Trampoline took the back fence down. There are powerlines down just up & down from our house & we're suburbia Lower Hutt.

Thank heavens for Gas fire & stove.

Had the day off but decided I might as well come into work. (so I can charge all my electronic devices & play on the internet).

Can the cops bust me for sustained loss of traction when I skid it up on the push bike? I've got a slick tyre on the rear, and that peels up mean in the snow.

Light snow here and still falling.
We've definitely missed the worst of it...so far.

Anyway, got me some new chains today so I'm off skiing this weekend.
