Notwithstanding that, the length of time a legal system has been in place does not guarantee quality, equity or anything much at all. By that logic, Sharia Law would be OK as its been around for 12 centuries.
This is true ... length of time does not gaurantee quality. But then British law cannot claim the priviliged position it has held inthis country for about 150 years ... what made them think they had the right ???
