I got over being angry at the situation awhile ago. Its the dumb ass responses that further annoyed me but I got over that too. I do genuinely think that at least in part they made assumptions about me as I am a young woman which is normal but not fair. He (the guy who did the wof) was also telling me how my front wheel was squeaking a little and I should get it looked at, and I appreciate the feedback and I will but he was telling me it's probably because my front brake pads are new and they probably need wearing in. I said they're not new and he seemed to disagree with me? Until I said that they havent been replaced in the 8 or so months ive had the bike and to my knowledge had never been changed (I got it at 7000k's) at all. I just got a stupid look then ignored. Im sure everyone or most people have had others make assumptions made about them based on the way they look I.e. female + young, doesn't know anything or doesn't dress nice so must be poor etc. Etc. I get it often and im really tired of it.
Becoming fearless isn't the point. That's impossible. It's learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.
