Eddie - I suspect the older couple you refer to are like me in their 60's and the rider a very competent rider of the 400cc Trans Alp - I've been in awe of the gents skill at ADV rides I've been on since 2005 - suspect they've since quit the TA which was a nice machine - understand husband of the duo has a motocross background - it shows. I struggled on my DR in the last Pukemanu in the mud - they made the same muddy ascents (and descents) look easy on the TA. As always its about the rider's skill level more than the machine IMO![]()

Set your missus up for success. I posted on another thread recently, one about bikes for short arses IIR, why we ended up with the DT. From a clean sheet perspective even the Iron britched Chancellor after a nervous start has realised the value of the skill set you get from a dual purpose bike.
You are 100% on the right track. Two riders in the household makes for far more betterer conversations & happy happy joy joys! You can watch bikes on the telly all night too as long as you can answer all the questions.
All the very best to you both.![]()

Funny you should post that. I've noticed the odd femme style critique on recent rides. The comment that sounds like a compliment but then you realise it was a jab 10 minutes later.
Must start watching Sex in the City so I can translate faster.
We sat & watched the Erzberg live feed all night & watch Moto Gp from start to finish. I do have to get off the couch to fetch her a pot to piss in, though.
We apologise for the disruption. Normal transmission should resume immediately after this post.

Those are great bikes and its great buying at $4-500. I have room to store it in my bike shed if it doesn't sell before you go.![]()

As I've said before this is an evil thread, thank goodness it was only a BMW this time![]()
