A week ago i also dragged out an old 175cc Suzuki (pre-mudbug I think?) from the storage shed (Used to be a 125cc but has had a 175cc cylinder and piston transplanted (needs some bigger jets fitted too!). I tinkered and cleaned stuff that need to be working and after changing the tank to one that does not leak, she started after a few kicks! I found all the bits that I need to get her complete and started to sort the little 2 stroke bike out. Took her out for a ride today and worked well. Now a general tidy up, new oil, probably a set of fork seals + fork oil, remove bits that are not needed and perhaps some paint (as currently there is blue, red, yellow and silver stuff on the bike...),and we have another bike up and running!
That should keep me going until end of the week, then time for another one that is sitting there waiting for some TLC.
And for the summer a nice smallish beer fridge will be added to the workshop.
I am happy!
with a bigger bore it may need smaller jets.
but FFS get junior wrenching his own bike or you're just turning him into a spoilt brat
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
