Agreed, granted the interior would be nicer on the 200/400 (if you got a leather one), so get both cars and swap the interior from the rover into the Honda.

I think the Europeans refer to this as the 'Distressed' look.

The designer rust on the bonnet really sets it off beautifully!

The perfect catalyst to achieve a relationship termination

    Mrs. Jones agrees.

I'd love it though, nice tidy Mk. I! I think Virago should buy it so it can be close to me lol.

Rust wise, they weren't too bad, going by what UK 'crab owners say. Mine is pretty solid, touch wood.

You don't see many Austin or Morris ones on the road now, mainly just Wolseleys.

Totally keen to turn that grey one into a Rally styled one

Hmm, don't like the mis-match of colour between the doors on the drivers side...

    Good spotting, Batman.

Been mulling over petrol vs diesel today, it seems there's not much in it, unless you're doing higher kms.

Edit: this here is useful www.dieselvspetrol.webs.com

    Thoughts?

When I was looking at a new car, up to the size of the Kizashi, which is a mid-size 2.4lt, there was no difference in over all running costs due solely to the RUC's. I would have had to be doing almost double the 26,000km p.a. that I am currrently doing to make it worth while. Even counting the extra cost to buy one, if the RUC's were lower, (read - reasonable!), diesel would be a no-brainer!

The RUC's don't bother me, infact it's a system I prefer over petrol tax as I'm taxed by how many kms I travel and not how much fuel I burn.

What is annoying is how the rego is $120ish more pa for the ACC, so if you don't drive it you're paying for ACC for nothing.

But from a practical point of view, I think a diesel would be better around town (i.e. hilly for me).

I can get the same Km per tank in the Kizashi which is auto and the tank size is 60lt. But it looks tidy, I wonder which motor it has.

In the 620? it'd be an L-series, which started life as an O-series (Princess 2) if I recall correctly. Apparently they're pretty bullet-proof.

'Work' cars get 7.2litres per 100km so I for one wouldn't be rushing into getting a diesel...
