He who laughs last, laughs the laughtiest.

EDIT: It would be interesting top see if there is a correlation between people who have a 'screw you' attitude to rego ... and the sort of bikes they ride.

You choose to do what you see fit mate but it seems a bit silly to broadcast it on the world wide web, these things have a habit of catching up on you.

Other reason for being a bit silly.... am I mistaken in the belief that some officers of the New Zealand Police Force are also bikers and probably frequent this forum?

Perhaps of course you are brighter than everyone and you are a hardened radical kicking against the system and you are tempting the forces of oppression to try and catch you?

Surely if you really want to rebel you should just let your rego lapse altogether, that would show them!

In theory then if you have a motorcycle accident then you should not get 'free' medical care or any ACC payments while off work.

I'd run it that way but the spineless buggers will still cover you and just make the rest of us pay more.

    Go hard!

Mine is on hold at the moment.

Just know, that the only one that is likely to "pay" for your civil disobedience is you. Calculate your personal risk of being caught out, factor in the value of any fine and decide...

Also know that there will be zero sympathy should you cop a fine.

I wonder what will happen to our rego costs should tptb do the sums about the number of unregistered bikes on the road. My guess is there are very few...

    You should be fine.

    6 month's licencing, $203.65.

Fine for being caught without licence - $200 (assuming they don't try to convict ya, ya can't argue your way out and assuming they don't book you for having no WOF).

Hmmmm... might work... bear in mind if you get pulled up and spin a yarn about not using it except today ossifer, they might compare the odo to what kms were at when it was put on hold.

    Shine on, you badass you.

You can't even afford to pay the rego on a 150cc bike?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Sorta makes a mockery of putting the price up for just one group when it results in less money being paid by that target demographic, dunnit?

If they change to rules for a minority with no protection at the polls they can't really expect a that minority not to use other means to correct the balance, can they?
