Hi all,
A mate and I are looking for accommodation in Christchurch that are motorbike friendly in the sense that there is somewhere safe to keep the bikes?
Haven't yielded much via search or Google so any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers

When and for how long?
We ended up using https://www.airbnb.co.nz/ this site as our house isn't going to be ready for when we shift down.
Just straight out ask the people re garaging, we had to and was well looked after
Thanks, just one night anywhere in Christchurch city really.
Anyone got personal experiences/recommendations they could share for particular places?
Cheers
Only handful I could recommend personally are rubble now.
A bigger hotel like the Ibis (which I've stayed in overseas and was happy with) should have secure parking.
There are a few places out near the airport (Memorial Ave) that are well in off the road too.
If you're wanting to go upmarket there are some nice B&B's on Bealey Ave that should have decent OSP.
We stayed here after the TT2000 last year http://www.apollomotel.co.nz/ Apollo Motel, Riccarton Rd.
The owners were brilliant and really nice. They let us put 3 bikes in their garage.
The rooms were quiet and very comfortable.
We stayed in a camp ground cabin 2-3 roundabouts north of the Chch airport on 1.
Park the bike next to your door. Seemed very safe. $90.
http://www.northsouth.co.nz/, lot of the sidecar guys stay there when Nationals are on
That's the place. Nice ride out to McLean's island. Drive a tank, steam engines, custom cars, shoot guns.
Could store in my garage. 26 km from city centre tho.
Couple of motels here on Rangiora. Cheaper than town.
Donuts accepted in payment.
