    Toyota's i-Road: A trike in disguise?

I just saw some pictures of a Toyota i-Road:

Basically a single person "car" designed to be small to reduce congestion, but that tilts like a motorbike. Perhaps a "motorbike" for the masses that can't ride a motorbike? On the plus side, because accidents in these are likely to be as nasty as on a motorbike perhaps it will promote greater awareness of motorbikes on the road.

I use the car when I need to transport the family, move boxes and other things, and prefer the motorbike when all I have to do is get myself from 'A' to 'B', so I don't think I would use one. But there are a lot of people who would like something cheap to run, that they can just jump into with a standard car licence, have protection from the weather, and is easy to get around a city in.

Could you see yourself driving/riding one?

I foresee an epic disaster and many lawsuits when two of these lean able cages have a roof vs roof on the centreline...
And things like this don't reduce congestion as its a limited use vehicle and its mere existence creates the need for another logistics supply chain of spare parts storage and distribution.
Can you imagine how slow people will drive in these once they experience the motorcycle/cyclist level feeling of vulnerability vs being n their normal cars...

At a time when everything is the same, driven by the same market "analysts" it's nice to see something different.

I reckon they'd sell well, up to a point, and while I'd not have a use for one I'd quite like to have a drive.

I thought some of their earlier I-swing iterations were potentially more game-changers.

Imagine how nasty a high side would be if you're stuck in that fucker though.
