Great fun regardless, all credit to where credit is due, and see ya next round.
    Bugger buddy.
I hope you filled the a c c forms in as a mountain bike crash.

But it was apparently the best crash of the weekend...
    Shame it was team mates

    Great weekend everyone.
As normal it was a bloody laugh a minute.

Got to the hospital at 2pm, was at Taumarunui McDee's at 6pm!! Could not believe how many people they called in to look at my elbow joint, each one had to stick their finger in there and go "Does that hurt"?

Finally stuck in some deep stitches and then a second row above, it only hurts a little bit now thankfully, and that was from holding on for grim death as my wife drove us home...

    Nee Penn...think stockcars.

No worries team mate, bit piffed I took the pair of us out, seems to be coming a tradition at Taumarunui. One I hope to break.

Not sure what will hurt more, double row stitches or the ear bashing you would have likely got on the way home from wifey.... Hope the little ones weren't to shaken up seeing all that.

Next time we are there, I'm making you sit on every corner you haven't crashed on and skull a beer....

Adults only section, mind you looks a tad better then the opened up version. Feeling quite good today, neck is more sore then anything. Hope Kels is doing alright too, he took quite a fall also.

Yea looked way more impressive opened up to the bone... funny that I ended up being the one tape'ing it up for you. Must add butterfly stitchers to the first aid kit.

I trust Kels got home safely; was a little concerned until I had a little chat directly before he left. I'd imagine he will be feeling it today as he hit the ground bloody hard.

True that (love that place), family were well happy with the weekend away (even with a bit of rain at the last).

What's the word on the next round? Or is it still under delicate negotiation?

Great weekend guys. Think I have now got everything dry.

My racing wasn't great and worthy of my qualifying spot but hey who gives a shit when you are having that much fun. Got to say it was well worth the effort of carting the chair down! Shame we couldn't get in some proper races (especially in the wet on Sunday!).

    Cant wait to go back.

Oh and I know there was a conversation at some stage of the weekend about a photo sequence of me on the sweeper back the last time I was at Tamuranui (2008 would you believe!), well I managed to find it.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round
